*im BacK!* 4.24pm

hello!!! im back from Labour of Love (LOL) Thailand (Chiang Mai) 2008 27th Feb - 17th March! wahahahhaha.. n i feel so happy.

happy to have been on this trip, happy to meet new friends like KaiQuan, Lip Teng, Dennis aka Muthu, May, Siew Lee etc. happy to get to know old friends like Cheryl, Jon, Meng Juan, Jun Hao, Peter etc better. happy to have learnt sign language. happy to have met up with Mike (from ASEAN Youth CIP 2006) in Bangkok. and happy to have new memories created. :]

I went to Chiang Mai Anusarnsunthorn School for the Deaf. On Day 1, the children greeted us with much enthusiasm. Thai ppl are ever so friendly and polite. They helped us to carry our luaggages and settled down in our dorm.

There were children age ranging from 10 - 20 years old. We were introduced to the kids at the next morning assembly and each of us given a sign name. Mine was with both my hands cross and index fingers pointing in and out in and out. The children gave us those sign names. Mine is still unexplained. hahha

my workgroup was workshop. our task was to build a barricade at the playground such tt the children do not throw sand into the neighbour's hse and to paint on the wall to beautify the school n to fix the spoilt tables and chairs. Fixing of the tables n chairs was hard work, cuz they cannot be fixed properly no matter how we do it. most of us grew pek chek aft awhile. however, painting of the mural was nicely done :]

I also got to make alot of new friends over there. Esp while working at the playground, the kids and some of the older children wld come dwn to look at us doing our work, just to keep u company, or talk to u. i meet these bunch of girls at the playground n i chatted with them using sign language n a Thai to English Dictionary for quite awhile. soon i grew quite close to 3 of them.

1 of them was 11 years old and she run to hug me everytime she sees me. she then became to be known as my Nu Er as she looks abit like me too. haha

the one on my right is one of my gd fren and the one on my left is my nu er. :]

above is the twin girls, the one on my right is the quieter one, the one on my left is the noisy, active and emotional one. and also my fav fav girl and best friend over at the school.

there was 1 night in which she and another girl sneaked out of their dorm to chat with Pat. And i was there with them, i chatted with her for 1 hr plus i tink. we talk bout many things. they were very curious abt our life in Singapore.

she was also the one who made me cried while we left the school. haha cuz she cried. luckily my nu er left earlier than me. or else i wld have cried even worse.

anyways life over there was really great. we had 3 full meals a day, which explains for all the weight i put on. haha and oso friendly matches every once in awhile. Had soccer, volleyball, basketball and captain ball aka chairball. of which i participated in 3. i sprained my pinkie during the bball match and luckily Ms Ng helped me tui na, or else wld have been even more swollen.

aniways they are v zai lo, we only won them properly in basketball. they rest of the matches all they win. Chairball is cuz no guys are allow to play, their girls are damn good at shooting larhhs.. the onli difference is we muz shoot into a basket tt the captain is holding.

and this is my FAV teacher over there. he is the PE teacher who always organise friendly matches, taught me Muay Thai, treat me Gah Feh (Coffee) and taught us bad words in Thai. he is a super joker lo.

and this is no. 13 the soccer player. he is one of the cuter lookin guys over there. and Cheryl's fav is no. 14 JemLong. He is one pro soccer player. i do not have his pic but i bet Cheryl have a lot. hahaha.. :p

actually there are alot to update, i oso dunno how to organise them. but i will have to cut it short as im going out soon. the last impt thing i wanna say is, aft i left the sch n went to BKK, we stayed at Asia Hotel. and the best thing tt happened to me in BKK is tt i got to meet up with Mike, although i paid 275 Baht for it, it was worth every single cent. haha

he came to my Hotel Lobby ard 1am BKK time and we hugged the moment we saw each other larhhs! i missed him so much lo! we chatted for 1 and a half hrs. Cheryl, Lip Teng they all waited for me at the side til they wanna slp liaO. hehes.. im very amazed by Mike, he is becoming a Barista and has his own small business. he gave me a small gift, something tt he did with photoshop. i will miss him so much. but i will be there for his Cafe Opening if i can! :]
okays. nw i need go out le. i will update more bout the trip if i can. see u! :]
