*1st Day of Work @ Night Safari* 1.50am

i juz came back! frm nite safari. the uncle was nice enuff to send every1 right up their doorstep.

surely u wan to noe how's my 1st day rite? 2 words to describe: culture shock.

i met another newbie Say Lin @ the bus-stop n we waited for some time b4 we were led in. n i tink we went in at a bad timing bahhs.. things will quite out of place. n an accident happened too. 1 of the staff got bitten by an insect, n an allergic rxn occured. so everything was very hectic.

i was told not to mention too much about nite safari on my blog yet. haha.. cuz it's quite easy to track dwn a staff's blog. so i shldnt elaborate.

main ting about today, we had an orientation of the place. spent time in 3 sector: The photography section, the critters section n the Creatures of the nite show section. basically just watch how everything runs. but we did help out with hosting during photography. n the skills i learnt in Settlers comes in just handy here. :]

things began to calm dwn ard 5pm. when more of the part-timers came in. ppl of our age. so we started to talk more with them. seriously in the afternoon when i 1st step in i was tinking, will i be able to survive tru 7 days? it was quite scary. intimidating i shld say. haha..

alrites aniwaes the ppl there are quite alrite. just hafta get use to them. and 2 particularly nice ppl. 1 of them is so funny n cute.

and the jobscope is quite cool lo. i will get a chance to handle snakes, kill mice by slamming their brains on the counter n dice them up for the snakes' food, clean out poo, interact with tourists n lotsa cleanings. i tink these will cover my 7 days of OJT.

what i learnt frm todae: if u wanna work for long in the nite safari, u must...
  • learn not to be scare,
  • get down n dirty,
  • be able to take scoldings.
oso i din get to take much picture, just 1. n is SayLin who took it, nt me. cuz i din have my hp with me. so lemme end with this pic!
